Piercer Biography's

Avant-Garde feels that it is important for you to get to know your piercer and their experience.  Listed below are the piercers who are currently employed at Avant-Garde.

Jim Melotte Master Piercer/Co-Owner

Jim has been piercing since 1968 for total of 39 years of experience.  He has worked with such legends in the industry as Jim Ward, Fakir, Doug Malloy, "Mad" Jack, and John Cobb back when a man with a simple earring was considered very strange.  The depth of Jim's Knowledge regarding piercings, the human body, and even prescription drugs effect upon piercings is unmatched within the state of Wisconsin.

Brent Holmes Senior Piercer/Co-Owner

Brent has been in the piercing industry since October of 1999.  He began his training at Avant-Garde under the direction of Jim Melotte and earned his piercing license in September of 2000.  Which brings his total experience to 8 years.  He has worked at Avant-Garde ever since and become a partner in the business with Jim.  Brent is also the store manager, taking care of all the everyday business needs.
